Group Count is a simple but very powerful exercise that any group can do. If you don't have a copy of Moving Beyond Icebreakers, you can find an explanation of Group Count as one of the "interactives of the month" on the Teen Empowerment website -- http://teenempowerment.org/interactive/archive.php.

Hello to everyone who has found this blog. Our goal is to create on-line conversation about our new book, Moving Beyond Icebreakers. The book contains more than 300 interactive exercises and--even more important--a construct within which you can use the exercises to make meetings and classes truly interactive from beginning to end.

If you have a copy of the book, let us know your thoughts about it and any experiences with the Interactive Meeting Format. If you don't have a copy yet, you can check out over 100 pages (the book is 440 pages long) on this website.

Check back with us often. Staff from our organization, the Center for Teen Empowerment, will be posting some tips from their experience in using the Moving Beyond Icebreakers approach.
